Bunions

Bunions Image

Bunions are painful enlarged big toe joints which are not aligned straight. Your Podiatrist can diagnosis a bunion by a physical exam. An X-ray may be ordered to evaluate the joint for arthritis or gout. A bunionette is found on the little toe joint. Shoes with a wide front combined with a supportive orthotic will improve comfort levels. Bursitis may occur in the fluid filled sac around the joint causing chronic pain.
